The 'Great House of Aachen'

In 1495, Heinrich Dollart built today's International Newspaper Museum on the foundations of four town houses at Pontstraße 13. In the 17th century, the city of Aachen acquired the building, which was used in many different ways over the course of time, including as a prison under Napoleon.
