High proportion of business events in Aachen
Aachen's event market has developed very positively since 2016. This is confirmed by a study conducted by the European Institute for the Meetings Industry (EITW) for 2023/24, which was commissioned by Eurogress Aachen and aachen tourist service e.v. (ats). In the year 2023
a total of 1,241,393 participants took part in 6,680 events in Aachen. This represents an increase of 36.9% in events and 106.5% in participants compared to 2016. The Eurogress and aachen tourist service had the Meeting & Event Barometer conducted for Aachen for the first time that year.
